Do I need to complete Reiki Level 1 before enrolling in Reiki Level 2?
Yes! Reiki Level 2 builds directly on the foundations of Reiki Level 1. You must have completed Reiki Level 1 and waited a minimum of 21-30 days (ideally 2-3 months) before progressing to Level 2. This integration period allows you to establish a consistent self-treatment practice, integrate your attunement, and build confidence in channeling Reiki energy. This waiting period is a traditional requirement that honours the depth and sacredness of the Reiki journey.
What are the three sacred symbols, and why are they important?
The three sacred Reiki Level 2 symbols are powerful tools that deepen and expand your Reiki practice.
These symbols are considered sacred within the Reiki tradition. You’ll learn how to draw, activate, and use them appropriately during the workshop, and they’ll become an integral part of your practice.
Can I practice Reiki professionally after Level 2?
Yes! Reiki Level 2 – Practitioner is the professional qualification level. Upon completion, you’ll have the knowledge, skills, and ethical framework to offer Reiki sessions to clients professionally. The workshop includes training on setting up an ethical practice, client communication, documentation, consent, boundaries, and scope of practice. However, professional practice is optional—many students complete Level 2 for personal development and to deepen their practice without offering professional sessions.
What is distance healing, and how does it work?
Distance healing allows you to send Reiki across time and space to someone who is not physically present. Using the (Distance Symbol), you can offer Reiki to loved ones in other locations, send healing to past events, or support future intentions. Distance healing is just as effective as in-person sessions. You’ll learn the techniques, ethics, and protocols for safe and effective distance healing during the workshop.
Is this course recognised?
Yes! My Wellness Academy is an IICT Premier Training Provider (AU2204145169) and this is one of our IICT Approved Courses. Upon completion, you’ll receive a Reiki Level 2 – Practitioner certificate in the traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage, with full lineage documentation. This qualification is recognised by IICT and supports professional practice as a Reiki practitioner.
What if I'm not interested in professional practice—can I still do Level 2?
Absolutely! Many students complete Reiki Level 2 purely for personal development, to deepen their self-healing practice, and to support family and friends. The symbols, distance healing, and mental/emotional techniques are incredibly valuable for personal growth, even if you never offer professional sessions. The workshop supports both pathways—you can focus on the sections most relevant to your intentions.
